Role summary

As our Managing Director of Distribution for the German market you will be responsible for the distribution and marketing of YELDO real estate investment opportunities to German clients.

This is a key commercial leadership role in YELDO. You are going to ensure YELDO EU distribution fulfills its regulatory needs, you will build your client relationship team, your local marketing team, and support them to ensure YELDO investment opportunities are delivered to the right target audience in the German market. You will be playing a critical role in the development of YELDO Group as Germany represents one of the largest markets for YELDO, you will join as our first hire in the German market setting up the office and setting life in motion. You will report directly to YELDO's COO (8+ years of experience in BCG) and potentially extend even beyond Germany market as the company grows (eg. DACH).

Profile description

You are the perfect candidate if you have:

  • Full marks degree from top-tier university
  • 5+ years of experience in MBB or managerial roles in high growth well known start-ups
  • 2+ years of team management experience
  • Proficiency in German, English + 1 other European language (nice to have)
  • Knowledge of German investment management industry or real estate is a plus
  • Start-up experience and MBA is a plus
  • Ownership: you want to take responsibility for your actions, you are an entrepreneur with your own ideas on how to set up the best distribution team in Germany
  • Activation: you default to action, you start things and get things done
  • Communication skills: you have excellent written and verbal communication to coordinate a number of stakeholders, interact with key clients and convincing your audience
  • Team leadership: you enjoy working with people, creating effective teams and nurture talent within the organization

Main job activities

  • Set up YELDO first German office and foster a great working culture with your first hires
  • Establish YELDO Group EU distribution regulatory framework, ensuring YELDO receives required licenses to operate with Germany as central hub of EU
  • Deliver on YELDO yearly distribution targets for Germany in terms of both numbers of clients acquired and clienty type
  • Establish relevant partnerships with required stakeholders in the German market
  • Hire and support your Relationship Managers team for the German market
  • Develop German distribution strategy, in alignment with YELDO group strategy, with the objective to grow our B2C and B2B investor base (upper affluent, UHNWI, HNWI, family offices) in Germany and support your team in executing flawlessly
  • Hire your local marketing team for the German market
  • Develop local marketing strategy, in alignment with YELDO group strategy, to increase YELDO awareness and market investment opportunities to our target audience

Location: Germany (city tbd together) as a start-up we love remote working!

Training: a training budget will be available for your personal development both for soft and hard skills development, useful for reaching your objectives and YELDO’s objectives.

Contract: Full-time position with permanent contract
