As of today, we financed EUR 850m+ worth of projects in Europe and Switzerland with an historical IRR of 14.6% and 0% default rate.

Role summary

As a Conducting Officer for an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM) operating below the threshold, you will play a critical role in ensuring regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance within the organisation. You will oversee various aspects of the fund's operations, contributing to its strategic direction and maintaining adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure funds' activities comply with relevant regulatory frameworks, including but not limited to AIFMD (Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive) regulations.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure timely implementation of necessary adjustments to policies and procedures, including Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) process.

Risk Management:

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the funds' investments and operations, including market risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.
  • Implement risk management frameworks and controls to safeguard the interests of investors and the integrity of the funds.

Governance Oversight:

  • Participate in board meetings and provide input on strategic decisions related to the funds' governance structure and operations.
  • Ensure effective governance practices are in place, including oversight of conflicts of interest and related-party transactions.
  • Foster a culture of compliance and ethical behaviour throughout the organisation.

Due Diligence and Investment Oversight:

  • Conduct due diligence on prospective investments and counterparties to assess suitability and mitigate risks.
  • Monitor the performance of existing investments and oversee investment decisions in alignment with the funds' strategy and risk appetite.
  • Ensure that investment activities comply with investment guidelines and restrictions.

Financial Oversight:

  • Monitor the funds' financial performance, including net asset value (NAV) calculations, fee structures, and expense management.
  • Review financial reports and ensure accuracy and transparency in reporting to investors and regulatory authorities.

Regulatory Reporting:

  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of regulatory reports to relevant authorities, including periodic reporting requirements and ad-hoc requests.
  • Respond to regulatory inquiries and coordinate regulatory inspections as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field. 
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the asset management industry, preferably with exposure to alternative investments.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements applicable to AIFMs, including AIFMD and related directives.
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles and practices, with the ability to identify and mitigate various types of risks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively.
  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Italian is a plus.

  • Training: a training budget will be available for your personal development both for tech and not-tech courses useful for reaching your objectives and YELDO’s objectives. Eg. Risk Management, Public Speaking, coding, Excel, etc.
  • Contract: Full-time position with permanent contract.
