YELDO is a fintech company in the real estate investment space with offices in Germany, Luxembourg, Switzerland and Italy. We offer direct digital access to institutional-level real estate investments via our technology platform.

As of today, we have raised capital for about 1Bn of real estate projects in Europe and Switzerland with an historical IRR of ca. 14.6% and 0% default rate.

Our mission is to deliver the best online real estate investing experience by bringing access, transparency, and liquidity to invest in an asset class that has historically been available only to the few.

Role summary

As our Real Estate Investment Associate you will be driving deal origination in Italy, assessing deal potential and proposing your deals to the Italian Managing Director. You will be in the driving seat to ensure deal execution and also overlooking closed ones.

This is a core investment role at YELDO as you are going to build your real estate deals pipeline, interact internally within YELDO team, and externally with brokers and advisors to ensure your deals get executed and we deliver on YELDO’s value proposition: offering the best institutional-grade real estate deals for our clients. This is why you will report directly to YELDO Managing Director, Real Estate Italy (15+ years of Real Estate investment experience) and potentially you will take a leading role to build your Real Estate investment team as we continue our growth.

Main job activities

  • Origination of buy and sell transactions according to YELDO’s investment strategy leveraging your network and YELDO’s contacts
  • Coordinate analysis and due diligence of potential deals including researching sector, competition, review financial models and projections, review asset level data, assist in transactional documentation
  • Lead preparation of documents including: presentations, pitch books, information memoranda, asset books, reports
  • Identify optimal financial structures to implement the deal
  • Execution of deals coordinating internal and external stakeholders (eg. due diligence team, lawyers, fiscal advisors, brokers) and leading commercial negotiations
  • Lead transaction from inception to execution, liaising with advisors and cross-border teams
  • Review and input into key transactional documentation and third party reports
  • Promote innovation and commitment to work process improvement, with an eye on digitalization of documentation
  • Proactively manage all client follow up and information requests.

Profile description

You are the perfect candidate if you have:

  • Degree in Finance, Business or Economics
  • Mandatory 5+ years professional experience in Real Estate (eg. you have worked for Real Estate Advisory Team/SGRs, Investment Banks RE desk, Capital Markets of top-tier brokerage companies)
  • Professional knowledge of italian property market (e.g. existing network for origination of potential deals, good understanding of asset classes, existing relations with key RE players)
  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • English proficiency, 1 other EU language is a plus
  • Ownership: you want to take responsibility for your actions, you are an entrepreneur with your own ideas on how to deliver the best institutional grade deals
  • Activation: you default to action, you start things and get things done
  • Communication skills: you have excellent written and verbal communication to coordinate a number of stakeholders

Other important things to know

  • Location: Milan, Italy.
  • Training: a training budget will be available for your personal development both for tech and not-tech courses useful for reaching your objectives and YELDO’s objectives. Eg. public speaking, coding, Excel, etc.
  • Contract: Full-time position with permanent contract.
  • Salary range: We pay above market rate because we believe in rewarding top talent!
